Light up the darkness with warmth and empathy
The Loxeeg story begins not in a fancy boardroom or a splashy fundraising campaign, but in a quiet moment in the dark hallways of a children’s hospital. As a volunteer, Thanh — the founder of Loxeeg — witnessed a young mother quietly carrying her baby through a dimly lit hallway, where the faint blue lights from the machines only made the child’s fears more apparent.
The next day, Thanh decided to quit her high-paying design job and began sketching her first nightlight under the simple light of a table lamp in her small apartment. She had a simple but powerful question: “Can a soft light soothe the worries of the night?”
Over the course of several months, she visited 25 homes—children afraid of the dark, elderly grandparents who stumbled at night, and city workers looking for a moment of peace after a long shift. From these everyday stories, Loxeeg’ design philosophy was born: soft, easy-to-use lighting that feels as warm as a loved one’s embrace.
Journey from garage to user’s heart
In a small garage down the street, the original Loxeeg team spent hundreds of nights testing color temperatures, lamp shapes, and touch features. After 187 tweaks, they created the first “natural dawn” mode—a gentle sunrise simulation.
Then one day, a letter came:
“Since having your lamp, my blind daughter reached out and touched the ‘shape of light’ for the first time.”
That letter was more than just a joy, it became a guiding principle for Loxeeg: we don’t just make nightlights, we offer connection—a quiet but lasting light between people.
